The elderly in our communities need to be treated with the respect that they deserve.

Nursing homes need to supply greater and more careful care for all residents and there needs to be a detailed examination of the cost to residents to enter these facilities  and their on going cost. The return to the estate from invested deposit needs close examination. It is unreasonable that a person who enters residential care looses their financial independence due to spiraling cost and to have care that is less than what is desirable.

I will support a full and independent examination of all aspects conected with residential aged care.

Transport for the elderly need to be better targeted to their needs.
