Hi Milton,
There’s an area where a new Member has questioned the CDP position of zero tolerance of illegal drugs, asking the question “What exactly does this mean”
He attached a printed article with the following link – http://www.news.com.au/national/law-proposal-claims-sturts-desert-pea-as dangerous-as-marijuana which was published in the Sunday Mail (SA) on March 19, 2011 10:41pm
Relating to the article he asks Does that mean eradicating native plants?
The article stated that Sturt’s desert pea, several species of wattle and many other plants such as wisteria and ornamental cacti would be included on the List of Controlled Plants because they contain traces of naturally occurring drugs.
From speaking with him I found that he works in the courts and so perhaps it wasn’t a ‘tongue in cheek’ question.
Have we got anything that outlines the CDP position in greater detail?
Regards Bernie
I am pleased that you found the details I have and to see the way I have tried to move the CDP to robust policies, it is true I am on a “policy holiday zone” as I need to be taken seriously in this area to give me the power to move forward in this area.
