From Genesis chapter 1 and verse 26 we have the beginning of instructions from God about our interconnectedness with responsibilities to the animals and the natural environment and the responsible role we must take. It is in chapter 3 we see the beginning of man’s collective failure. We can neither change nor recreate the past but we have, today, a responsibility in fact an overwhelming obligation to repair the damage that we have collectively caused to God’s creation.
Global Warming and Greenhouse Gasses
Background information
Where are we at this point in Australia where we need the truth about Green House Gasses and Global Warming? Firstly: Green Houses in our garden isolate the general atmosphere from the protected environment within the green house. When we build a green house we have special material keep the protected environment at a more controlled temperature and moisture level than the external environment and we would say that the green house effect is for a better environmental out come. So the question is: why are “green House Gasses” so bad for our planet and are they really responsible for Global Warming. We have some loud scientific experts making claims about Global Warming and we also have other not so vocal scientific experts making counter claims. Firstly are the supporters of Global Warming all agreed on their science from which these claims are made? Well no, they are not agreed. Do they all agree with the proposed solution/s? Well no, they are not agreed. There are a range of theories and these are put in the mix to come up with an amalgam theory and conclusions to produce a political outcome.
It is worth noting that as the planets of the solar system change in their alignments with each other, as they constantly do, while orbiting the sun this does affect the sun’s heat reaching the earth as the solar flares and the changing distance between the earth and the sun have an effect on the extent of the heat reaching the earth’s atmosphere. There have been a number of “warmings and coolings” of the planet according to the geological record and historical records.
We should further note that the depleting of the ozone layer can assist in additional heat entering the earth’s atmosphere; a hole in the ozone layer is like a hole in our garden’s green house coverings and will prevent the greenhouse working well. If excessive heat is being created inside the green house then we need to reduce the effectiveness of the green house protection layer so as to release the heat. The big question is if the environment within our atmosphere is being heated up then what and where the heat source is and can we prevent the excess heat source or can we release that excess heat. These questions are yet to be answered. The Christian Democratic Party is committed to find these answers through careful and balanced research.
It is important that we must recognise that we must clean up the damage done to our planet and change how we do things so we can find the balance the environment needs by understanding the chemical balance of the planet and its effect on living things. God created natural processes for keeping a balance and created living things to clean up waste matter caused by others; for example cockroaches, maggots and pippies are natural cleaners.
One of the points raised in the Global Warming debate is that the melting of the ice in the polar caps will raise the ocean levels, so let us look at it and see if it is true. If ice is floating in water it will not raise the water level whether it is melted or not; it is only the ice that is supported by land that will affect the ocean levels and we need to calculate the volume of the water in that ice that is supported by land and how much will be taken into the frozen soils as they thaw out to evaluate the effect of this ice melting. Many of the current calculations do not distinguish between the floating ice and the land supported ice and so an excessive calculation of the rising ocean level is made.
So what will the proposed solutions by the government do: create a new bureaucracy worldwide (both Government and Corporation); cause another reason for mistrust between nations; create a new tax revenue stream; enslavement of many by these new bureaucrats, force up the cost of living for most people and though offset payments are promised they only compensate approximately a third of the increase in prices on some of the essential purchases, create huge profits for traders on the carbon trading exchange and some businesses.
Is our Government consistently serious about their Global Warming solution? Yes and no. In Newcastle a new coal loader is being fast tracked so that coal is able to be more quickly shipped out of the country to our overseas customers and the strong desire to develop the Liverpool Plains coal deposits that will destroy farming land and destroy more water aquifers of the dying Murray Darling River system. We all know that the use of coal will produce more pollution and while it is in the ground it will cause no harm. With strong commitments to the selling of coal exemptions will be extended to the coal industry but domestically we all will pay a carbon levy for our electricity because of the coal fired power stations. PROBLEM: IF THE GOVERNMENT IS BALANCED IN ITS COLLECTIVE CONCERN ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING THEN WE SHOULD DOWN SIZE COAL EXPORTS AND SLOW DOWN THE POLUTION BUT THIS WILL NOT RAISE REVENUE AND SHOW THE NEED TO INCREASE THE PRICE ON ESENTIAL SERVICES.
You may say what about clean coal technology, well what is it? In basic terms capturing the gas emissions and pumping them in to the ground. (It is worth noting that the science to develop clean coal technology is still incomplete.) When you sweep your carpets do you sweep the ‘waste’ rubbish under the carpets and if you do how long can you do that for before another problem is evident. This untested and doubtful proposal could destroy and underground water reserves.
SOLUTION: The main pollutant is CO2 that is accused of causing Global Warming and so we reach into our memories of school and ask what uses CO2 in the natural environment? And we remember photosynthesis is a natural process of converting CO2 into oxygen and carbon (wood fibre). The leaves on our plants are this God given natural chemical factory to convert CO2 oxygen, so we need to have more prolific plant growth in our world as we produce more CO2. WE NEED TO PLANT MORE GREEN LEAFY PLANTS TO CLEAN UP THE BY PRODUCTS OF FOSSEL FUEL BURNING. So the Christian Democratic Party is committed to a national programme of planting of trees commencing with the reintroduction of a national tree planting day (Arbour Day).
The environment is further damaged by emissions from the way we use transport and so we must invest into the transport industry to decrease the impact that our moving of us or out things from place to place causes.
POLICY POSITION.
- Planting forests of trees especially near high polluting industrial complexes. (for example power stations)
- Invest in cleaner energy
- Investigate the source of any global warming and see if we can control the heat source if necessary.
- If carbon tax is being collected then we are committed to repealing the relevant laws
- Invest in energy efficient vehicles
- Extend public transport use and area of operation
- Where possible freight to be carried by rail
- Where practical passenger services, combined with freight must be reintroduced where rail tracks exist at first
- Rail services must be improved for both passenger and freight services so that rail will be the mode of first choice for as many as possible
- Roads must be built so that congestion can be a thing of the past as idling vehicles cause unnecessary pollution
- Transport Hubs must be constructed in open spaces so that road congestion can be reduced
- Goods for import and export must get to or leave their point of entry of leaving Australia by rail
- Water ways to be utilised as much as practical for transport.
- The driving power, that is the motors, must be developed to more environmental friendly.
WATER
Background information
Australia is a ‘sunburnt country of mountain ranges and sweeping plains of droughts and flooding rains’ as the poet wrote and this is true. We have the basic facts in that and we can learn from Joseph from the Bible as he prepared Egypt for a seven year drought by in the years of plenty he needed to save up for the drought. How are we going in Australia? NOT GOOD.
We have dammed our rivers and wonder why the plains once watered by the rivers are dust bowls. Is that not expected? For a plant to live they need water, CO2, light and heat, as well as the particular chemicals for that particular plant. Take away water, CO2, light and heat generally a plant will not survive. We have taken away the water and so the dust bowl we receive. In Newcastle we have a dam that has kept us in good stead for a long time and it is feed from the excess environmental flow of the Williams River and the Williams runs free FOR NOW though there are plans afoot to dam it an to kill the river system as has happened to its parent river the Hunter River.
We must understand how the water gets into the plains and stays there so we can find a solution. This will be simplified for all to understand the interconnectedness of things. Water falling as rain soaks in until a surface tension level is reached and then it flows across the surface to form a creek and then a river, if there is plants there in particular trees then these hydraulic pumps will store water in themselves and the soil that surrounds their root system. As it rains they will bring more into their trunk and branches there by causing more rain water to penetrate the soil and therefore more ground water to be retained. As the ground around the trees dries out more water is released from the branches and the trunk until survival mode for the tree is reached this is the danger point for the tree and dieback may commence.
THE SOLUTION TO OUR WATER PROBLEM is to give the Christian Democratic Party the right to repair the hydrology of our land by voting for our candidates
The CDP believes that God created and requires mankind to use natural resources for mankind’s benefit. Water is such a resource.
National Water Policy
Therefore the CDP:
Does not support the Commonwealth taking control of water policy from the States. The Constitution of Australia does not allocate the control of dams and waterways to the Commonwealth. Whilst it is clearly sensible for NSW, Vic and SA to coordinate the use of the water they share, WA, Queensland and Tasmania should be left to manage their own water systems without interference from Canberra because their river systems are largely contained within their own state boundaries.
Urban Water
Supports tax deductibility for water saving devices used by households and businesses.
Believes that water is a public good which should be provided at the cost of delivery. The CDP acknowledges that there may be situations when the only feasible supplier of an essential service is a monopoly public enterprise. In such circumstances the CDP believes that these enterprises should deliver their services or goods to families and businesses at cost and not with a profit focus.
Regrettably, recent years have seen large profits returned to state governments by their monopoly water trading corporations at the expense of the families and businesses who must buy their water from the public supplier. Additionally, the replacement, repair and maintenance of the public supply water system for all communities, including remote and isolated ones, has been neglected in favour of a focus on profit by government water supply corporations.
This is far from the original purpose these enterprises to provide water to households and businesses at a cost price which includes a provision for replacement, repair and maintenance of the network. Furthermore this focus on profit undermines the justification for allowing these corporations to remain as the monopoly supplier of water to most households and businesses.
Rural Water
Recognizes that different irrigation solutions will apply to different agricultural products and consequently farmers should be free to purchase the irrigation delivery system best suited to their particular enterprise.
However, it is accepted that if some farmers are allowed to freely trade their secure water entitlements this may adversely impact other farming enterprises as certain irrigation areas becomes uneconomic. CDP believes that a just system of compensation needs to be devised to adjust for any collateral damage done in these circumstances.
Is concerned about the distorting impact of some of the Managed Investment Schemes on agricultural production and water allocation. The taxation advantages enjoyed by Managed Investment Schemes can mean that they fail to respond to market pressures and oversupply a particular commodity using an over allocation of water.

- Commence rehabilitation of river banks by tree planting and controlled river flows
- Collect only excess environmental flow
- Encourage the State Governments to develop a cooperative approach to water resourses that cross state boundires
- Collect storm water in cities and store for use later
- Subsidise domestic water collection for use in homes
- Encourage tree planting and preservation of essential trees
- Require water storage tanks to be a fundamental part of all building requirements
- When sustainable remove dams where possible when river has been adversely affected
- Duplicate, where possible, the natural desalination process that God has designed as can be seen at the Tomago sand beds.
FARMING
Background information
Farming practices need to be improved to recover the dust bowls created from historical broad acre farming style that was done even in marginal rainfall areas. Some of the fertilisers and other chemicals used are unhelpful to make up of the soils. The hydraulic importance of trees was not understood by many farmers and so salt encroachment of good farming land has devastated formally good farms into salt flats and dust bowls. This has to be turned around.
Damming of some rivers has taken surface water from other areas having people dependent on underground water and this has degraded the land use. Ground water is usable but if depleted too much then further degrading of the land will happen. The planting of the right trees can improve the moisture content in the soil and as the trees need CO2 they can cause air movements as the CO2 is absorbed and then oxygen is given off a side affect of this can be an increased likely hood of rain.
Overstocking is always a problem and must stop as ground cover can protect the soil.
Our native animals and vegetation need to be cared for and a good balance must be made between preservation of the native environment and the use of the land for our needs.
The control of fire through out farming districts and forrests must be improved as the destruction to vegetation and live stock as well as the native fauna and native animals. Fire breaks can be effective in fire control.
POLICY POINTS
- Farms that have become marginal will need assistance for recovery.
- Salt encroachment to be stopped by appropriate tree planting
- Incentives to plant trees to raise soil moisture content
- Investment in more environmentally friendly fertilisers and chemicals
- Stop damming rivers and only collect the excess of environmental flow and remove dams when possible
- Prepare water storage for when floods happen
- Plant trees on water courses to encourage ground water retention.
- Care for native vegetation and native animals by protection national parks
- Effective fire breaks and hazard reduction to be upgraded
- Greater support to farms adopting better practices to overcome local problems as they arise.
NATIVE ENVIRONMENT
- Australia has many unique native plants and animals and they need to be preserved in their natural environment as far as is possible and God expected us to look after them.
- There needs to be sufficient native vegetation protected from introduced species to enable the native wild life to have good environment to live in.
- We need to be good custodians of our native animals and move to protect them as is necessary. An effective feral animal control must be put in place.

Carbon Dioxide irrelevant in climate debate says MIT Scientist
In a study sure to ruffle the feathers of the Global Warming cabal, Professor Richard Lindzen of MIT has published a paper which proves that IPCC models are overstating by 6 times, the relevance of CO2 in Earth’s Atmosphere. Dr. Lindzen has found that heat is radiated out in to space at a far higher rate than any modeling system to date can account for.
The pdf file located at the link above from the Science and Public Policy Institute has absolutely, convincingly, and irrefutably proven the theory of Anthropogenic Global Warming to be completely false.
Professor Richard Lindzen of MIT’s peer reviewed work states “we now know that the effect of CO2 on temperature is small, we know why it is small, and we know that it is having very little effect on the climate.”
The global surface temperature record, which we update and publish
every month, has shown no statistically-significant “global warming”
for almost 15 years. Statistically-significant global cooling has now
persisted for very nearly eight years. Even a strong el Nino – expected
in the coming months – will be unlikely to reverse the cooling trend.More significantly, the ARGO bathythermographs deployed
throughout the world’s oceans since 2003 show that the top 400
fathoms of the oceans, where it is agreed between all parties that at
least 80% of all heat caused by manmade “global warming” must
accumulate, have been cooling over the past six years. That now prolonged
ocean cooling is fatal to the “official” theory that “global
warming” will happen on anything other than a minute scale.
If for no other reason than this: the IPCC assumes that the concentration of CO2 in 2100 will be 836 ppmv (parts per million volume). However, current graphs based on real data show that CO2 concentrations will only be 570 ppmv in 2100, cutting the IPCC’s estimates in half right there.
Another nail in the coffin of Global Warming is the observed rate of temperature change from 1980, which is observed to be 1.5 degrees C per century. The IPCC modeling calls for a range of 2.4 to 5.3 degree increase per century, which is far above what is observed in real data collected between 1980 and 2009. The graph below clearly represents a far different reality as opposed to the predictions.
Not only is the IPCC basing its predictions on data that has been doubled from observed data, it is overstating the role of CO2 in Climate altogether. As the graph seen below shows, when charted for the years between 2002 and 2009, that solid red median line is going down, indicating global cooling.
As significant as the above results are, it is not the Pièce de résistance. What is – the curious minded what to know? It is the ERBE results. The Earth Radiation Budget Experiment with 15 years worth of data. The ERBE result is absolutely devastating to the entire Global Warming Theory.
The following graph (Graph C) shows the ERBE results in the upper left hand corner, which is real recorded data, not a computer model. The 11 other graphs are the results from the models used by the UN and everyone else which state that more radiation should be held within Earth’s system, thereby causing warming of the climate. More simply put, the UN results illogically predict that as the oceans got warmer, the earth would simply hold more heat. The UN explains that it is CO2 which is holding this extra energy. This theory is not supportable by the simple fact that CO2 cannot hold that much heat, it is a very poor greenhouse gas compared with water. If anything, more clouds -water vapor- would conceivably hold the extra heat, but the corresponding rise in global temperatures this would cause have not been observed. This leaves only one conclusion, the Earth is radiating the extra heat into space, and this is supported by the data.
The ERBE results, which are factual data from real measurements made by satellite, show the exact opposite result from the UN/IPCC Projections (computer models which are not real data). As seas warm on earth, the earth releases more heat into space and the satellite results prove it.
The mismatch between reality and prediction is entirely clear. It is this
astonishing graph that provides the final evidence that the UN has
absurdly exaggerated the effect not only of CO2 but of all greenhouse
gases on global mean surface temperature. - Lindzen & Choi (2009).
For the sake of making the above graphs clear in their meanings, the term ?SST stands for Change in Sea Surface Temperature measured in Kelvin (A unit of temperature like to Celsius and Fahrenheit), and is a measurement of change in sea temperatures. A -1.0 number would indicate cooling, a zero reflects no temperature change, and a +1.0 would indicate an increase in temperature.
?Flux, The Vertical line in these graphs, measures the change in the amount of radiation released by the planet in the infra-red spectrum, heat in other words. From zero to +6 shows more heat radiated out into space. From zero to -6 shows less heat being radiated into space.
0 change in ?SST equals 0 change in ?Flux or no change. Less infra-red heat radiation going out into space should correlate to cooler sea surface temperatures, as there is less heat available to radiate out. More heat radiating out appears when sea surface temperature increases have occurred and more heat is available to radiate. Heat is radiated out into space as seas warm, and this overall maintains a climate equilibrium, This is proven by the ERBE graph in Graph C above as well as the other graphs presented in this article, which are based on observed data, not computer models.
The 3300 Argo bathythermograph buoys deployed throughout the world’s oceans since late in 2003 have shown a slight cooling of the oceans over the past five years, directly contrary to the official theory that any “global warming” not showing in the atmosphere would definitely show up in the first 400 fathoms of the world’s oceans, where at least 80% of any surplus heat would be stored. All of this data leads to the conclusion that the UN/IPCC models are not only wrong, they are so far off the mark as to be laughable. The satellite and bathythermograph data clearly do not match the IPCC theory, which means that the theory is incorrect.
What this data does tell us is if CO2 concentration should double, global temperatures will not rise by the devastating 6 degrees F the UN predicts, but by a completely harmless 1 degree F. The ERBE data shows an Earth system that is radiating more heat into space as sea surfaces warm, in other words a system at equilibrium, and is clearly demonstrated by observed data. The UN theory of Anthropogenic Global Warming is dead wrong.
The UN/IPCC have been using models that give a result that allow them to tell Nation States they must reduce and cap Carbon Emissions or the earth’s climate will warm by a devastating 6 degrees F. When in reality, more heat is simply radiated out into space as the ERBE OBSERVED DATA (Not a computer model) PROVES.
The United States House of Representatives has passed a Carbon tax (Cap and Trade) as have other governments in Europe, based on these completely erroneous models.
There are only a couple of conclusions to be made of this. Either the world has been misled by scientists working for the UN and IPCC due to faulty science, or faulty science has been deliberately used in a global scheme to generate tax revenues for the Governments instituting Cap and Trade Taxation policies.
Either way, the world has been the victim of some very bad science. The results of which can be seen in drastically reduced GDP in countries with the Cap and Trade laws in place, as well a a 5 – 10% decrease in standard of living for those citizens living there (Taxing Carbon designed to fail.), all with little or no effect on emissions globally.
Perhaps this will finally end the attempt by the Obama Administration as well as congress to tax a substance that trees need to survive, the very air we exhale thousands of times a day.
Thank you Professor Richard Lindzen, Dr. Ferenc M. Miskolczi, Dr. Miklós Zágoni, Dr. Mike Fox here in Oregon, and a great many other Scientists the world over, who decided to look at facts, instead of playing with models. Science is based on data, facts not theories. They took the facts, and let the theory write itself. The IPCC took theories and tried to cherry pick only the details that fit, and in the end failed to do even that.
Public policies should also be based on facts, not on unproven and in the end disproven theories. The United States and indeed the world is in the debt of these and other scientists, who relied on data and facts to describe our world and its climate! We are in their debt!

Please explain why, if CO2 and Degree temperature change are directly proportional, why it is that we have not seen a tripping of temperature change given that CO2 Emissions have tripped in the last several decades?

I can tell you why, because the COMPUTER MODEL that the “Nature” team is using is erroneous. Its a model, and they input their own data into it. Real climate science takes actual measured readings and interprets those real numbers. You can sit at a computer model all day and still not be able to reverse predict Earth’s climate, even when you use real historical Numbers.
The Global Warming Myth is unraveling faster than a liberal runs towards socialism.
By the way, companies like Exxon have to have real predictions, not faked up models, they are running a real business. Nature gets its funding in part from the same Gov. that is pushing Cap n Trade. August 18, 4:17 PM
The validity of climate models has been an argument of skeptics but an article from Science Daily’s website late last year announced “findings published in the online edition of the journal Science shed further light on the fluctuations in greenhouse gases and climate in Earth’s past, and appear to confirm the validity of the types of computer models that are used to project a warmer climate in the future.”

And to add insult to injury, the satellites tell us that sea levels have stopped rising. Sea levels peaked in 2005 and have been meandering sideways ever since. Before that, the rise was only an estimated 3mm per year. Three millimeters is about an eighth of an inch. Does anyone seriously believe we cannot cope with sea levels rising an eighth of an inch per year? That’s only about an inch per decade, assuming sea levels start rising again. But don’t believe me, just check out sealevel.colorado.edu.

I was an applied scientist at EPA for 8 years and did a lot of advanced physics-based environmental modeling. Given the choice of between drawing conclusions from IPCC sanctioned models and real data collected from the likes of ERBE or ARGO; hands down I’d go with the real data.

Your article is pretty good. However, your statement that “[CO2] is a very poor greenhouse gas compared with water” is incorrect. CO2 is a much more effective “greenhouse gas” compared to water vapor. Its atmospheric concentration is simply so small compared to H2O that any effect gets diluted.
Keep up the good work and try to ignore the ad hom attacks. It’s all that AGW supporters have left when the data debunks their position. August 18, 12:58 PM
The quotes I used are largely comments that accompany the graphs, illustrating the relevance of them. Most of the pdf is graphical data. All the information that is directly quoted is from that source. I usually include direct links to specific references, but given the nature of the material, and the fact 99.9% of this article is derived from that pdf, I did not separately source quotes. If this continues to cause confusion I can list specific page numbers where the quotes can be found if that will help.
