Infrastructure – Security and Essential Services

Security and Essential services

The CDP believes that a priority area is Australia’s ability to protect its citizens and all within our nation from any threat that could disrupt or even destroy essential services or other areas of infrastructure which may include criminal or terrorist activity, foreign attack or even natural disasters, any of which could potentially undermine the efficiency of any and all other services and endanger the general public.

Therefore:

The CDP believes that full support must be given to maintain our defence forces at the highest level through ongoing training and suitable facilities, equipment and all services necessary to ensure Australia’s ability to conduct national defence and ensure national security. Further to this, the CDP will work to keep Australia’s defence forces free of any politically motivated agendas to ensure a bipartisan approach towards whatever political leaning the nation has in power at any time. It is our considered view that industry to produce equipment for the Defence Forces must be re-established and re-vamped as necessary as the relying on overseas suppliers can be seen as a compromise to our national security.

The CDP believe that a strong and secure boarder protection policy is best for all Australians so that illegal arrivals will be deterred as well as the elimination of the international drug trade which is such a huge blight on Australian society. The management of trade is essential for many reasons including to prevent influx of diseases and harmful flora and fauna. The geographical isolation of Australia means that many common harmful diseases are not seen here, as well the Australian environment is best served if non-native flora and fauna is fully managed of what is permitted through our boarders.

The CDP believes that full support must be given to maintain our emergency services at the highest level through ongoing training and suitable facilities, equipment and all services necessary to ensure Australia’s ability to deal with any emergency from an individual requiring an ambulance to a major national disaster. Further to this, the CDP will work to keep Australia’s emergency services free of any politically motivated agendas to ensure a bipartisan approach towards whatever political leaning the nation has in power at any time.

The CDP believes that full support must be given to maintain our judicial systems, including both federal and state police forces, Correctional facilities, courts and all associated areas of the justice departments at the highest level through ongoing training and suitable facilities, equipment and all services necessary to ensure Australia’s ability to maintain law and order and to ensure all Australians can feel safe in their own country. Further to this, the CDP will work to keep Australia’s judicial systems free of any politically motivated agendas to ensure a bipartisan approach towards whatever political leaning the nation has in power at any time. We will move towards a restorative justice approach for we believe all can be restored to be good citizens and this ought to be the purpose of the justice system.
